Best Dressed at the BET Awards

There were a lot of stylish women (and men) that strutted their stuff down the red carpet at the BET Awards Sunday night. Two fashionistas, in my opinion, stood out amongst the rest.

Ciara, who did not perform but did present El Debarge, looked great in her red leather tube dress and spine heels from Dsquared? Fall 2010 collection. Slightly different from its appearance on the runway, where the gathered detail looked something like a rose, Ciara chose to let the detail just hang and removed the belt. For this stunning outfit she gets the best dressed title hands down.

Runner up for the chance to be dubbed BET Awards best dressed was Nia Long. Gracing the stage with former co star Larenz Tate (Love Jones) as presenters, Nia looked absolutely chic in her strapless Gucci Spring 2010 dress. Definitely worthy of best dressed runner up.

“Killers” London Movie Premiere

Katherine Heigl was missing her other half at the London premiere of their movie “Killers” earlier this month, and maybe that was a good thing for Kutcher. In her black dress from Victoria Beckham’s Fall 2010 line Ashton would’ve been bumped right out of the spotlight for sure. Heigl accessorized her look with Christian Louboutin ‘Lady Page’ heels and a black clutch that made her look smoking hot. Although her 50’s housewife hair didn’t quite complement the ensemble she still looked amazing.

Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony at the Samsung’s Hope for Children Benefit

Just two nights ago Jennifer Lopez and her husband Marc Anthony hosted Samsung’s Hope for Children Benefit.

The songstress, who is clearly in love with designs from Emilio Pucci, wore a white gown with cut outs and gold harness detail from Pucci’s Spring 2010 collection, which she opted for over the yellow gown.

Her hubby didn’t look to shabby himself. Anthony wore a black Dolce and Gabbana suit with a pair of black Kenneth Cole loafers and completed the look with a pair of Ray-Ban Aviator sunglasses.

That’s a pretty sharp couple if you ask me. They both looked amazing!

Smelling Good and Looking Good

The Annual FiFi Awards honor the biggest stars in the fragrance industry- everyone from Hilary Duff to Michael Kors. So of course these celebrities didn’t just smell great but they looked great too!

A breath taking Kim Kardashian, who was one of the presenters for the 38^th Annual FiFi Awards on June 10^th, showed off her shape in a Zuhair Murad Spring 2010 gown. Just stunning!

Halle Berry, the recipient of the Women’s Popular Appeal Award, wore a form fitting tan dress revealing just a tad of her six pack that was just absolutely gorgeous!

A just recently pregnant Leelee Sobieski, also a presenter for the evening, showed off her post baby body in black spaghetti strapped dress with a thigh high split.

These women looked amazing! They don’t call the FiFi Awards the “Oscars of the fragrance industry” for nothing.

Red Carpet Watch: Jennifer Aniston’s Fashion Faux Pas

Following a recent fashion debacle at The Bounty Hunter premiere in Paris, Jennifer Aniston attempted to redeem herself on the red carpet at the film’s Madrid premiere. The actress donned Valentino, and, unfortunately, this little black dress wasn’t exactly and improvement from the Salmon colored Christian Lacroix prom dress she work last week.

Aniston looks more like a teenager on her way to a rock concert than she does and international superstar attending a red carpet event. Jen, if you’re listening, we miss the Donna Karan you work to the Hollywood premiere!

2010 Golden Globes: Where Courtney Meets Victoria

At the 2010 Golden Globes, Courtney Cox threw tradition by the wayside, and, elected to wear the dress of a lesser known fashion designer, Victoria “Posh” Beckham. A former Spice Girl and wife of world famous soccer icon David Beckham, Victoria Beckham, who is known for her impeccable sense of style, is also a designer with her own fashion line.

Nominated for her role on ABCs hit show, Cougar Town, Cox’s decision to don Beckham’s design brought a breath of fresh air to the red carpet.

Megan Fox – Best Dressed or Least Dressed?

While Megan Fox might be one of the sexiest celebrities on the red carpet – is she one of the best dressed? That’s a question that we often ponder around here at this blog. Since Ms. Fox is relatively new to the red carpet scene, we didn’t have much material to review – that is, until Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen premiered.

This dress, or more specifically, Megan Fox’s nipples received a lot of coverage on the blog scene. Truthfully, we find the dress pretty interesting and mostly flattering.

Comic Con seems like the ultimate opportunity to make fanboys drool (or at least leave them holding flowers in hand) – yet Megan’s simple black dress didn’t do much for her. Bummer.

We loved this dress since the moment we first laid eyes on it. For us, Megan Fox looks best when she embraces her pin-up good looks and takes a page from the late Betty Paige.

Though technically not on the red carpet, we thought this little black dress merits inclusion in this list. In fact, it reminds us of Halle Berry’s figure hugging dress at the Wolverine premiere – and we nearly like it as much.

Megan’s face might be a bit distracting in this photo (she was caught in the rain), but her dress is very respectable, if not downright classy. We approve.

More toga than dress, Megan’s choice of outfits for the U.S. premiere of Transformers 2 is a bit bizarre – but innocent enough.

Miley Cyrus Attends the London Premiere of Hannah Montana

Miley Cyrus received an overwhelming response from her fans at the UK premier of her new movie Hannah Montana. The 17-year-old starlet arrived at the red carpet at London’s Odeon Cinema in a figure-hugging mini dress by Herve Leger. With beautifully-crafted padded shoulders, chunky jewelry and a disheveled hair updo, Miley was perfectly in style.

Starting with Cameron Diaz’s gown at the 2009 Golden Globes, pink has dominated this award season, making it’s way to the 2009 Oscar Red Carpet.

Alicia Keys:

It’s a virtual certainty that Alicia Keys will ad pizzazz to the red carpet. This year, the singer-turned-actor looked amazing in a purplish-pink strapless Armani Prive gown with a slit up the leg.

Natalie Portman:

Natalie Portman was sweet and sober in her orchid-pink prom dress that she wore while presenting at the Academy Awards. It’s worth noting that this is the first time someone has worn Rodarte at the Oscars. The Israeli beauty looked perfect in this Hellenic-inspired gown with her hair tightly pulled back.

Kate Winslet

Kate Winslet is riding high this season, with a streak of award-wins. She’s also been among the best dressed stars buring this awards season. We found Kate Winslet looking classy in a black mermaid gown by Zac Posen at the British Academy Awards. At the 81st Academy Awards, she stepped it up with a superbly-stylish steel blue one-shoulder YSL gown by Stefano Pilati.

Marisa Tomei

It’s been a fashionable award season for Marisa Tomei. The Best Supporting Actress nominee stood out at the gala night, wearing a fabulous icy-grey Versace gown with a pleated train to add more volume. She chose Van Cleef and Arpels jewelry to complete the ensemble.

Miley Cyrus

Cute and adorable, Miley Cyrus is emerging as the new red carpet darling with her exquisite fashion sense. The teen sensation donned a Zuhair Murad gown at the Oscar night. The sophisticated gown was made youthful with tapered layers and bead detailing at the fringes.

Freida Pinto

Freida Pinto, the international red carpet sensation, arrived in a royal blue one-shouldered John Galliano gown that was inspired by traditional Indian dress, Sari. Accompanying her was the Slumdog Millionare star, Dev Patel.
