Cate Blanchett wears McQueen to Cannes Film Festival opening

Cate Blanchett, always looking stunning, arrived at the opening ceremonies of the Cannes Film Festival for the Robin Hood premiere in Cannes, France. She wore an ankle-length black dress with a silver eagle design by the late British designer Alexander McQueen. The gown was part of McQueen’s pre-fall 2010 collection. Blanchett is always daring enough to pull off such outfits. We also love her simple tied-back hair which shows off her face.

Blanchett plays Lady Marion in Ridley Scott’s Robin Hood along with co-star Russell Crowe who plays Robin Longstride.

Following a recent fashion debacle at The Bounty Hunter premiere in Paris, Jennifer Aniston attempted to redeem herself on the red carpet at the film’s Madrid premiere. The actress donned Valentino, and, unfortunately, this little black dress wasn’t exactly and improvement from the Salmon colored Christian Lacroix prom dress she work last week.

Aniston looks more like a teenager on her way to a rock concert than she does and international superstar attending a red carpet event. Jen, if you’re listening, we miss the Donna Karan you work to the Hollywood premiere!

2010 Golden Globes: Where Courtney Meets Victoria

At the 2010 Golden Globes, Courtney Cox threw tradition by the wayside, and, elected to wear the dress of a lesser known fashion designer, Victoria “Posh” Beckham. A former Spice Girl and wife of world famous soccer icon David Beckham, Victoria Beckham, who is known for her impeccable sense of style, is also a designer with her own fashion line.

Nominated for her role on ABCs hit show, Cougar Town, Cox’s decision to don Beckham’s design brought a breath of fresh air to the red carpet.

The 2009 BAFTA Television Awards was a star studded show. Here are some of our favorite photos from the red carpet:

Celebrity Master Chef presenter Liz McClarnon looked gorgeous in a one-shouldered Philip Armstrong gown, made exquisite with floral detailing along the neckline. She chose light Boodles jewelry to complete the ensemble.

Michelle Ryan stunned everybody in this crimson Donna Karan number. The Doctor Who star chose Jimmy Choo heels and contrast blue clasp to accessorize.

Davina McCall of Big Brother wore a stylishly simple navy blue number by Liberty.

Skins famed Hannah Murray was spotted in a sparkling Collette Dinnigan dress with playful feather detailing – perfect for the teenage actor.

Strictly Come Dancing host Tess Daly graced the red carpet in a short black number by Philip Lim. Her strappy Jimmy Choo heels and a large golden bangle were eye-catching.

Holby City actress Patsy Kensit looked stunning in a beautiful red gown from Dolce & Gabbana.

Jennifer Saunders arrived in an elegant Betty Jackson dress accented with a silvery broach and sequined necklines. Saunders completed the look with matching clutch and peep-toes.

The 2009 British Soap Awards was full of fashionable daytime stars, but it was the women of Hollyoaks who grabbed the most attention on the red carpet. Take a look:

Emma Rigby looked glamorous in a strapless fuchsia pink Temperley London gown. The Hollyoaks star chose to wear her golden mane loose over the shoulders.

This electric blue Lanvin number was perfect for Ashley Slanina Davis. She accessorized with black peep-toes and a matching clutch.

The Coronation Street famed Kym Marsh stunned everyone in a short teal satin number with bow details on one shoulder.

Kara Tointon of Eastenders fame arrived in a Mariciano nude dress with feather embellishments and Louboutin peep-toes.

Lindsay Lohan was spotted shopping at the Gucci store at the Wailea Beach in Hawaii. Younger sister Ali accompanied her on the tour. Even though her visit to Hawaii was a post-breakup trip, the Hollywood hottie was in good sprits.

Miss Lohan was spotted sporting bikinis and surfing on the blue waves. The 22-year old even spoke on her fading relationship with ex-girlfriend Samantha Robinson, gladly posing for photographers.
